CHERI GRISSOM
Dr. Cheri Grissom is originally from the RGV and is excited to be back in Raymondville serving Gateway UPC alongside her parents. She grew up as a pastor’s kid before moving with her family to be missionaries in Colombia, South America. Those early experiences defined her in such a deep way that she has looked for every possible way to be involved in ministry ever since. She has worked with children, youth, ladies, music, media, missions, and singles ministries over the years and is passionate about educational ministries in the church. Her desire is to be an encourager wherever she serves. She received her B.A. in Spanish from UT Permian Basin, her M.A. in Romance Languages from Texas Tech, and her Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from Texas Tech. She enjoys writing and always has several projects going. She serves in music/media ministries at Gateway UPC but also teaches, speaks, and writes for both her local church and other ministries. She is also a daydreamer, an eternal student, a devoted bookworm, and a devotee of shoes and chocolate. Visit her on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram or read more of her writing on Flying Solo, the UPCI SAM blog.
